With the help of plastic eggs and baskets, trustees were shown what the impact could be of closing down three area schools and sending their students to a "mega-school", during a consultation meeting Wednesday evening at Springwood Elementary School.
"We had the numbers of students from each of the various schools and we poured them into a large container which was the mega-school," parent Gillian Burnett said in an interview. "And of course a lot of the eggs fell out and it was the number of students they were going to lose.
"It was very visual and we hoped it made an impact."
