A Prince George gangster facing deportation to South Africa is in trouble again.
Francois (Frankie) Meerholz was arrested early Friday morning, Prince George RCMP spokesman Craig Douglass confirmed, for allegedly attempting to break into cars in a motel parking lot in the 1600 block of Central Street.
He was subsequently picked up by Canada Border Service Agency officials and was the subject of a detention hearing before an Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) adjudicator on Tuesday in Vancouver.
Meerholz conceded to stay in detention until the next hearing on this coming Tuesday, said IRB spokeswoman Melissa Anderson.
