The organizing committee for the 2015 Canada Winter Games wants Prince George's help selecting a mascot for the games.

A mascot selection committee has selected three finalists from 381 submissions from Kindergarten to Grade 7 students across Northern B.C., according to a statement issued by the committee. The three finalists are Spruce the moose, Fraser the eagle and Nanguz the fox.

Residents can read about each of the three finalists and cast their vote online at www.canadagames2015.ca until March 1. The winner is scheduled to be announced on March 11.

Children were asked to make their submissions earlier this year, based on the six animals associated with the games branding: fox, bear, moose, cougar, salmon and eagle.

Submissions were made by students in Prince George, Prince Rupert, Fort St. John and Vanderhoof.
