Former Northland Chrysler Jeep Dodge principal Brent Marshall has withdrawn a lawsuit against his former employers.

According to a consent order filed Thursday in B.C. Supreme Court, Marshall has consented to dismissing the action against Northland Chyrsler Jeep Dodge - as well as the handful of other defendants named in the lawsuit - without costs to any party and without a hearing.

Marshall launched the action in September 2016, alleging they failed to properly act on his behalf in a conflict with the B.C. Motor Vehicle Sales Authority.

But in a response subsequently filed in December 2016, his employers said he was fired because he launched a campaign to discredit the MVSA after the agency found he had engaged in deceptive practices.

The MVSA levied a $3,500 fine against Marshall, as well as a $44,000 fine against Northland. The penalties were elated to the sale of four used vehicles advertised in a flyer distributed to communities outside of Prince George in June 2013.
