When Fraser Lake RCMP recently checked a vehicle on Highway 16 West for a driving infraction, the officer detected the odor of marijuana wafting from the vehicle and placed the driver under arrest. A vehicle search disclosed two pounds of marijuana. Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended to Crown Council against the 49-year-old Fraser Lake man who has been given a court appearance at a later date.
