A man was killed and a woman critically injured when their snowmobile crashed near Vanderhoof on Sunday evening, RCMP said.
An investigation inot why the crash occurred is ongoing but neither were wearing helmets, police said, "which may have contributed to injuries sustained."
Emergency personnel were called to the scene just before 7 p.m. A search and rescue team was needed to reach the site.
A 35-year-old man was found dead at the scene and a 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital where her condition is said to be stable, RCMP said.
