A 29-year-old Hazelton man was arrested Friday morning following an "rare unprovoked attack."
Moses Clifford Julian Johnson has been charged with aggravated assault and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.
He was arrested after Prince George RCMP were called at 10:30 a.m. to an assault in progress near Massey Drive and Griffiths Avenue.
They found a 16-year-old boy with a broken nose and Johnson was located a short distance away. Police said he tried to flee on foot and was arrested in the parking lot of a nearby high school.
Police said Johnson had recently moved to Prince George and it appeared he had attacked the youth without provocation. Johnson remained in custody following an appearance in provincial court.
