A man suspected of running into a teenage girl and then fleeing the scene has been charged.
Brandon Joseph Poole, 31, faces one count each of criminal negligence causing bodily harm and failing to stop at an accident scene involving bodily harm, according to court records.
Poole was arrested early Tuesday morning sometime after the 14-year-old girl was struck by a small SUV while she was crossing Rainbow Drive near Liard Drive.
Police said the driver stopped initially but then fled the scene on foot but was tracked down to an Irwin Street home.
The girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
