Man arrested after allegedly assaulting Prince George RCMP officer

One man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police offer and resisting arrest Thursday morning (Sept. 13). 

Prince George Mounties say the officer was attending a residential complex on the 100 block of Quebec Street as part of an investigation. 

At 9:30 a.m., the officer requested immediate assistance due to concern for his safety. Multiple officers arrived within seconds of the call being placed. 

A 27-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and mischief. He has not been charged and was released on a promise to appear for court on Oct. 3. 

No injuries were reported.
