A story in Tuesday's Citizen on Sherry Pattie's upcoming ride in the Tour de North Cops For Cancer fundraiser for childhood cancer research and to support Camp Goodtimes contained incorrect information.
Pattie was inspired to join the ride by her nephew, Ryan Dillabough, who died at age 22 of inoperable brain cancer. Dillabough was first diagnosed at age 15 with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) and went on to develop lung cancer. He was successfully treated with five separate surgical procedures to remove spots on his lungs and was cancer-free for three years before he developed brain cancer, which was unrelated to his earlier childhood cancer.
