A Mackenzie man is $500,000 richer after matching all four numbers on the Extra.
Roscoe Hammond's winning ticket was purchased March 11 at the Mackenzie Mall lottery ticket centre.
He said he and his wife sing and dance every time he buys a lottery ticket.
"I usually do a happy dance and she sings for me," Hammond said in a B.C. Lottery Corporation press release. "We haven't stopped since I won. It's been non-stop hugging and tears of joy."
He said being a lottery winner feels even better than he expected.
"It's amazing to know you can do a few extra things you couldn't before," Hammond said. "I can invest in my retirement and travel all around our beautiful province."
Hammond won the top prize in the Extra. The odds of matching all four numbers is one in 3.76 million.
