Police continue to search the Hythe, Alberta farm of Wiebo Ludwig and the convicted eco-saboteur has been arrested in connection to a string of bombings in the Dawson Creek area.
The Glove and Mail was told by a source close to the investigation that Ludwig was arrested "under a law that allows police to take someone into custody to make it easier for police to search a property." As such, he may not necessarily be a suspect in the attacks that targeted natural gas infrastructure linked to EnCana.
Hythe is located 75 kilometres south-east of Dawson Creek. Ludwig was also arrested following a series of bombings on natural gas infrastructure in the late 1990s.
