Lucky number seven

If the number seven wasn't lucky for Cassandra Houston before, it sure is now. The seventh Habitat for Humanity home built in Prince George will go to Houston and her two children Jessica and Anthony.

If the number seven wasn't lucky for Cassandra Houston before, it sure is now.

The seventh Habitat for Humanity home built in Prince George will go to Houston and her two children Jessica and Anthony.

In the months ahead Habitat will be starting the build at 1938 Juniper Street.

The Houston family was chosen on the basis of need for adequate and decent housing, ability to repay a zero interest long-term loan, and a willingness to partner with Habitat for Humanity.

As part of the family's contribution to the building of their home, they must invest a minimum of 500 hours of sweat equity.

Each home is built by volunteers with donations from the community, and the family will work alongside volunteers to create the home.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical society that believes each person, regardless of race or religion, has the right to safe, decent and affordable housing.
