Low water pressure has Davis Court residents blowing off steam

Low water pressure at a strata complex on Davis Court is frustrating residents. The developer of the complex took the issue to city council Monday night but Paul Toor was called out of order by the end of the meeting.

Toor said residents can't even run a dishwasher the pressure is so low and he wants the city to fix the problem. City representatives say the pressure outside the private land meets the 40 PSI level and it was suggested the developer needs to install a booster pump to increase water pressure for the 14 lots. This could cost Toor between $5,000 and $14,000. There had been a concern the pressure would be too low in case of a fire but Councilor Don Bassermann said fire trucks have their own pumps so water pressure is not an issue.
