Those with musical talent, including those who play an instrument, could be a part of a professional musical theatre production of Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story.
Auditions for the Theatre North West production are June 15 and 16.
This show by Alan Janes is the most successful rock 'n' roll musical in the world that celebrates a unique music success story.
This is a volunteer position that requires a significant time commitment.
"Theatre North West's production of Buddy will offer wonderful opportunities to a few local performers to be involved in a large-scale musical work," said Samantha MacDonald, artistic director at the theatre. "The successful actors will need to have the ability to perform (act and sing) both solo and in an ensemble. Actors will need an enthusiasm and joy in performing that will shine onstage. Ideally, performers will also play a musical instrument, though it won't be required for all. What I'm really looking for are those who want to be part of what's going to be both a lot of hard work and a fabulous experience."
To apply for a part, only online submissions will be accepted, so send a head shot and resume, including what instrument played, if any, and contact information to MacDonald at [email protected].
Deadline to submit is June 7.
