Four initial attack crews from Prince George are among almost two dozen B.C. wildfire personnel who are leaving Thursday to help battle forest fires in the Yukon.

A quieter than normal fire season so far in B.C. has allowed the province to lend a hand to its neighbours. The 12 initial attack personnel based in Prince George will be joined in the territory by wildfire co-ordination officers from Prince George and Kamloops, an agency representative, as well as three initial attack crews from the Cariboo fire centre.
