Local boy cuts hair for cancer

For the past two years Braden Flett, a grade eight student at Duchess Park Secondary School, has been growing his hair out. Flett's mother had cancer prior to him being born and he wanted to do something to give back to the Canadian Cancer Society.

On Saturday night during the first intermission of the Prince George Spruce Kings game, he did just that. With his shoulder length hair in braids, a few well-placed snips with scissors was all it took to take off the nearly twelve inches of hair.

Tha hair will now be donated to make wigs for cancer patients, and funds raised by Flett will be going to the Canadian Cancer Society.
