A 10-year-old boy who was playing at Fort George Park Thursday at about 8 p.m. while being supervised by his mother was followed into the washroom by a group of six or seven aboriginal male teens when he went to fill a water balloon.
The teens were mostly dressed in black and white clothing with most wearing jogging pants. Three of the males approached the child and one of them demanded money from him. When none was produced, one of the teens held the child's hands while another searched through his pockets. A third teen then slapped the child across the face, injuring the youth.
The group then departed the washroom, locking the child inside.
The three subjects involved were described as aboriginal males around 13 years old.
The teen who assaulted the child was wearing black pants and no shirt with no noticeable tattoos.
The teen who went through the child's pockets was wearing a red sweater and white shorts.
No description was provided for the teen who held the child's hands.
