The City of Prince George is seeking volunteers to serve on the Prince George Heritage Commission.

The commission is responsible for promoting heritage education and awareness, and reviews and reports to city council and staff on matters of heritage significance within the city. The city is seeking four volunteers to serve on the nine-member commission for two years, from March 1 to Feb. 28, 2025.

The commission meets quarterly in March, June, September and December, with meetings held on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“In addition to attendance at the quarterly meetings, interested applicants must be willing to participate actively in projects the Heritage Commission undertakes throughout the year,” according to information released by the city.

 Interested applicants can apply online, or can contact the city’s legislative services by email, by phone at 250-561-7792, or in person at city hall to receive an application form.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 26 at 5 p.m.
