A 27-year-old Prince George woman has decided to travel to India in a bid to be able to hug her toddler, write a letter or even climb stairs.

Lindsay Bzdel-Klassen, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, is preparing to go to New Delhi to receive a treatment for CCSVI (chronic cerebo-spinal venous insufficiency) designed to clear vein blockages in her neck that prevent the flow of blood to the heart, which in turn promotes brain dysfunction and multiple sclerosis.

"Just the thought of being able to hold my son or walk up and down stairs without a lot of difficulty is surreal," Lindsay said.
