Edgewood elementary can resume using its fountains after the latest round of lead testing shows the levels are safe again.
Northern Health approved the move, said a
Nov. 23 "lead mitigation plan" update posted to School District 57's website, after the district submitted results from pre- and post-filter water tests.
In July, the school district said seven of its facilities had "higher than acceptable lead concentrations."
Foothills, Heritage, Nukko Lake, Nusdeh Yoh and Pineview elementaries all must continue flushing.
The district will look to Nukko Lake next to perform testing.
"In these schools the fountains have been disabled and water dispensing coolers along with bottled water are being provided," the update said.
