A Prince George man has dropped his lawsuit over the injuries he allegedly suffered while riding a mechanical bull.
Scott Painter agreed to a consent order on Nov. 3 dismissing the proceedings without a hearing and cost to any party.
He had been seeking damages from L.A. Promotions and Tent Rentals and 651932 BC Ltd. from a March 2014 incident.
In a notice of claim, he said he suffered an "avulsion" to his right thumb when it became caught in the rope, as well as bruises, contusions and abrasions. An avulsion is often associated with pulling a finger while trying to remove a ring.
In response, the defendants said he knew the risks when he hopped on the machine.
