One of the biggest planes to ever fly into Prince George is scheduled to land today at YXS.

An Ilyushin 76 aircraft based in Russia will stop over in B.C.'s northern capital and is expected to stay awhile, giving aviation fans a rare look at one of Europe's giants of the air.

"It is servicing the Olympics. It will be here for probably five days," said Prince George Airport business manager Todd Doherty. "It will be stationing here in Prince George because there is no available parking in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland for an aircraft of that size."
