Even though 95 per of British Columbians support the idea of organ donation, and 51 per cent believe they are registered as organ donors, only 23 per cent have registered with B.C. Transplant, according to the Foundation.

The honoree for this year's walk is Samantha Murdoch. The mother of two from Fort St. James must go through dialysis three times per week and is in need of a new kidney.
