Anchor tenants have been finalized for the new retail plaza along Highway 16.
On Tuesday, Vancouver-based developer Platform Properties Ltd. announced that GoodLife Fitness and PetSmart had signed on the dotted line for the River Point Landing shopping centre next to the Sandman Signature hotel.
Construction on the first phase of the more than 60,000 square-foot, five-unit plaza at 3030 Recplace Drive will start this summer, according to Platform principal Kyle Shury.
"We are currently in talks with a number of other tenants and we expect to be in a position to announce additional tenants in the coming months," Shury said in a press release. An additional phase across the more than 400-stall parking lot will expand the shopping centre to more than 100,000 square feet.
