The Salvation Army's Kettle Campaign has raised $121,314.54 so far this holiday season while the Tree of Lights effort stood at $12,173.65 , about 25 per cent of that campaign's target, business manager Bill Glasgow said Wednesday.
"We need a real big push to make this happen," he said.
Weather pending, a Tree of Lights family skate is planned for the outdoor ice oval on Saturday, noon to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at Coast Inn of the North or at the oval.
Hot chocolate and hot dogs available by donation at the event.
