Last month was the third-driest July on record, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Jim Steele in a synopsis issued Tuesday.
Total rain added up to 10.4 millimetres, just 16 per cent of the norm for the month and there was measurable precipitation on only three days, well below the norm of 14 days.
