Journey to Canada

When people in other lands immigrate to Canada it's a journey they never forget.

When people in other lands immigrate to Canada it's a journey they never forget.

A total of 30 of these stories of Prince George residents have been captured by the Immigrant and Multicultural Services Society in a new book entitled Journey to New Horizons.

A book launching Thursday attracted at least 80 per cent of the story tellers who joined the 50 people attending the event.

Paz Milburn, IMSS project co-ordinator, said "The stories of the journeys from many lands are dedicated to those who immigrated to Canada to fulfill their dreams for a better life and brighter future."

The book, costing $10 to cover publishing costs, is available at today's Multicultural Fair at the Civic Centre, the IMSS office in Redwood Square, and plans are to make it available at the public library and Council of Seniors office. For more information call Milburn at 250-562-2900.
