The federal government "found that balance Canadians were telling us about over the last few months" in delivering its budget in the House of Commons, Prince George-Peace River Jay Hill said Thursday.
Ottawa will roll out a further $19 billion of stimulus spending rather than end the program sooner than originally planned, launch a limited number of initiatives targeted at jobs and growth and chart a course to bring the government's finances back to balance over the medium term, he said.
"Basically a three-point jobs and growth budget," Hill said.
