The unemployment rate in Prince George fell to 3.8 per cent in June, down from 4.2 per cent a month earlier.
In the Cariboo region, the unemployment rate fell from 5.5 per cent in May to five per cent in June, according to information from Statistics Canada's monthly Labour Force Survey.
The rate in Prince George is much better than the national figure of 7.1 per cent unemployment, which was unchanged from May and the provincial rate of 6.3 per cent, down half a percentage point from a month ago. However the smaller sample size of the local figures means there is a larger margin of error in the study.
