The wheels are turning to override cancer.

The fifth annual Inside Ride is set to pedal forward today at 5:30 p.m. at UNBC's Northern Sport Centre. Teams of six rotate in five-minute intervals with their teammates cheering them on. Each team has set a goal of raising at least $1,000.

The proceeds from this event are earmarked for Camp Goodtimes, the summer recreation facility of the Canadian Cancer Society where children with cancer can "just be kids" along with their families.

The funds from last year's Inside Ride allowed 13 northern families to have kids attend Camp Goodtimes.

The public is encouraged to attend and cheer on these teams of cyclists as they demonstrate healthy living, teamwork and Prince George volunteerism. For more information call Sandra Blackwell at 250-645-2361.
