Prince George Search and Rescue was called in Monday to help evacuate an injured cross country skier.

The woman and another person were skiing on the trails at Tabor Mountain when she badly injured her knee in a fall.

PGSAR was called at about 2 p.m. and 14 members on snowmobiles and snowshoes were on the scene by about 3:30 p.m.

The woman was cold but in good spirits, PGSAR said in a release. "After warming her up and packaging her in a stretcher it was a short ride down the hill to the waiting ambulance," PGSAR said.
