Four high school students were the latest victims to witness a man masturbating in public at Masich Place Stadium.

On Monday, four girls were in a vehicle at Masich Place when they saw a man drive by in a truck with no pants on. Although the girls did not see the man masturbating, the suspect's actions made them believe he was.

The students reported the incident to a teacher after they returned to Prince George secondary school. The incident happened at approximately 3:30 p.m.

RCMP officers searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect or a vehicle matching the description.

The vehicle is described as a blue, 2002-03 GMC pickup truck with four doors and an Under Armor decal on the left side of the rear window.

The suspect was a Caucasian man who appeared to be in his 40s, wearing a hat - possibly bald.

Disturbing trend

The Masich Place incident is only the latest in a series of indecent exposures targeting girls and young women this year.

In March a man driving a burgundy pickup truck exposed himself to a pair of girls, aged 11 and 12, and made lewd comments on Pine Street near the Hudson's Bay Slough.

That suspect was described as a bald man in his mid-30s, Caucasian, wearing a red sweater and jeans, with a medium build. He had no visible facial hair, tattoos or piercings.

In May a man driving a blue pickup truck exposed himself to a pair of 13-year-old girls as they were walking along Tabor Boulevard near Hill Avenue.

That suspect was described as a Caucasian man 30 to 40 years old, approximately six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, a black baseball hat on backwards, a T-shirt and no pants.

The vehicle he was driving was described as a newer, blue full-size Ford crew cab pickup with a short box, tinted windows and chrome trim. There was no canopy and a 4 x 4 decal on the tail gate.

In October a man driving a black pickup truck with white flames painted on the side exposed himself to a group of boys and girls as they were walking home in the Tabor Boulevard area. The suspect was a Caucasian man, approximately 40 years old, overweight and bald.

Last month a masturbating man exposed himself to two women, aged 23 and 27, in a public washroom at the College of New Caledonia. That suspect was described as a 40 to 55-year old Caucasian man, well over six feet tall, slim, with short salt and pepper hair. He was wearing a Windriver jacket with a beige, fur lining.

Just this weekend a man was spotted masturbating in public at Cottonwood Island Park near the boat launch. In that case, a man passing by confronted the suspect and he fled the scene.

The suspect in that case was described as a Caucasian man 45 to 55 years old, approximately five-feet-11 inches tall, about 250 pounds, with receding gray hair a full goatee and glasses.

He was wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and running shoes.

Prince George RCMP believe there are at least two, and possibly up to four, different suspects involved in the incidents, Cpl. Craig

Douglass said.

"There are similarities in some of the cases we've had this year," Douglass said. "It is more than likely their is more than one [suspect]. At the college the suspect was described as very tall and slim, while the one this weekend was described as shorter and heavier."

Several of the incidents involved a man in a truck - however the description of the truck differed substantially, he said.

Douglass said police are relying on the descriptions provided by eye witnesses, which can be unreliable - particularly when young witnesses are involved.

"We have other indecent exposure cases over the course of the year... but 12 or so [cases] fit this profile," he said.
