An inspiring film Bagota: Building a Sustainable City will be shown Friday at Raven Haven, 421 George Street, at about 8:30 p.m. It will be the second film shown following One Peace at a Time at 7 p.m.
Bagota, sponsored by Communities in Bloom and city council, tells how that Columbia city was transformed from one of violence and fear to a model of community health, activity and vibrant green space.
It's part of the 2010 World Community Film Festival running from March 18 to 28. Tickets are available at Sassafras Savouries next door or Books & Company.
