A 3300-block Seton Cres. house has $300,000 in damage after a fire broke out Friday afternoon.
Sixteen Prince George Fire Rescue firefighters from three halls were called to the scene, near the Valleyview neighbourhood in the Hart, shortly after 1 p.m. after one of the home's occupants had arrived home to find heavy smoke and called 911.
Firefighters traced the smoke to a fire in a basement bedroom. They quickly doused the flames and remained on the scene for about two hours to clear the smoke.
But the damages was extensive, assistant chief Greg Wilkins said in a release, although there were no reported injuries.
