Firefighters were called to a house fire at approximately 5 p.m. on Christmas Day
When fire crews arrived at the home in the 100 block of McDermid Street, they found smoke and flame venting out of the roof of the home.
A total of 15 firefighters from three halls responded to the blaze, and were able to bring it under control quickly. However, the home suffered extensive damage.
Nobody was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
