A Prince George man was sentenced to two years plus a day for his role in a home invasion last year.

A Prince George man was sentenced to two years plus a day for his role in a home invasion last year.

Allan Andrew Squires was issued the term in provincial court Wednesday for aggravated assault and break and enter and committing an indictable offence.

Squires, then 18 years old, and Sylvester Gordon Joseph, then 20, forced their way into a home in the 1400 block of Milburn Street during the early morning hours of April 15, 2011.

The home's two occupants, a man and a women, were transported to hospital with injuries.

Joseph faces sentencing at a later date.
