Rod Holmes of Prince George was elected to British Columbia Lung Association board of directors at the organization's annual general meeting in Vancouver on June 10.
The board also allocated more than $1.1 million towards medical research grants and training for medical professionals in B.C., and about $4.3 million towards health education programs.
The BC Lung Association works to improve lung health across B.C. through research, education, and support for people with respiratory diseases such as asthma, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease such as emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
