Prince George RCMP have arrested an 18-year-old male resident in regards to a pedestrian hit-and-run incident occurring at Fifth Avenue near Central Street on Feb. 27.

Prince George RCMP have arrested an 18-year-old male resident in regards to a pedestrian hit-and-run incident occurring at Fifth Avenue near Central Street on Feb. 27.

The suspect has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of a collision, failing to provide necessities of life, and obstruction.

The accused has been released on a promise to appear in court in late May, and a small dark pickup truck involved has been seized for forensic examination.

The victim, a 33-year-old woman found about 2 a.m. by night staff at Save On Foods, remains in critical condition in University Hospital for Northern B.C.
