The Prince George Service Canada Centre for Youth (SCCY) wrapped up a successful Hire-A-Youth Week.
The centre helps match employers with enthusiastic youth who are eager to start working.
"We helped a large number of young people with their job searches, resume and cover letter writing, interview techniques and information on employment standards, health and safety in the workplace and wage rates," said Lead Youth Service Officer Chelsea Lewis.
Employers looking for workers and youth on the hunt for jobs can visit the Prince George SCCY between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 1336 4th Ave., call 250-561-5200 ext. 329, or fax 250-561-5271.
Job postings are available online at www.jobbank.gc.ca., under "Student Job Search", "British Columbia", "Prince George Omineca Area", and then "Prince George." For more information on Service Canada services for youth call 1-800 O-Canada or visit servicecanada.gc.ca.
