Another snowfall warning has been put in place for Highway 97 north of Prince George today (Dec. 18).
According to Environment Canada, the stretch near the Pine Pass could see nearly 15 cm of heavy snow by midnight thanks to a frontal system sweeping through B.C.'s northern interior.
Light snow has been falling this morning in the region, the national service explains, but could turn into heavy amounts by the afternoon before tapering off overnight.
As a result, driving conditions could suddenly become hazardous, especially at higher elevations.
Commuters are being asked to adjust their habits on the road and to always be prepared for the worse-case scenario.
Snowfall warnings with the same forecast are also in effect for the Peace River regions, north and south.
Road conditions and updates can be found on Drive BC's website.
