The sow has fallen in Prince George and its surrounding areas.

More, however, is in the forecast for Highway 97 north of the city and Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning as a result.

As of 4:17 a.m. (Nov. 23), the alert is in effect with up to 20 cm of accumulation is expected at the Pine Pass by early Tuesday morning (Nov. 24).

The service explains another Pacific frontal system is bringing in heavier snow overnight, so conditions could change quickly for commuters heading between Prince George and the Peace River region.

It adds the snowfall may stop completely by lunchtime tomorrow.

Residents that need to go through the Pine Pass today are asked to adjust their driving habits as visibility may be reduced to none, and to be prepared in case of an emergency.
