Strong winds that may cause damage are expected to sweep through Prince George this evening, Environment Canada said in a weather warning.
South winds of 70 km/h with gusts to 90 are forecast to accompany a deep low-pressure system moving across northern B.C.
The winds will ease after midnight as the low moves out of the area.
"Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage," Environment Canada said. "Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds."
Between two and four cm of snow is also expected to fall today, with the high to hit zero.
