A heavy snowfall advisory has been issued for communities along Highway 16 west of Prince George.
Environment Canada issued a warning on Monday afternoon warning that 10 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the area between Burns Lake and Fraser Lake.
Five to eight centimetres of snow had already fallen as of 4:30 p.m. on Monday and another two to five centimetres were expected Monday evening.
Highways, roads and sidewalks may be difficult to navigate because of accumulating snow, Environment Canada warned.
