The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has issued a warning for heavy rain and potential debris flow along Highway 97 between Cache Creek and four kilometres south of Clinton.
"No stopping during rainfall between Stephenson Road and 26 mile Frontage Rd. five kilometres south of Clinton," the ministry posted on the DriveBC service shortly before 3 p.m. "Plan for highway closure in event of heavy rain."
Warnings were also issued for other stretches of highway in the area.
