No one was hurt in a fire early Sunday morning at a family home in the 3900 block of Kenworth Road East in the Hart which caused an estimated more than a quarter million dollars worth of damage.
Prince George Fire Rescue deployed 15 people from three halls to battle the blaze at just past 6 a.m. on Sunday. It took a few hours to put out the fire and crews remained on scene later in the day to extinguish hot spots.
According to assistant fire chief Darrell Kloschinsky there was no one home at the time of the fire and damage is estimated to exceed $250,000.
Prince George fire personnel are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
