Guns and drugs seized from local organized crime member's residence

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, members of the Prince George RCMP's drug section in conjunction with the crime reduction team, obtained and executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Victoria Street.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, members of the Prince George RCMP's drug section in conjunction with the crime reduction team, obtained and executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Victoria Street. Police located and arrested the lone 21-year-old male occupant and tenant of the residence.

During the course of the search, police located and seized numerous items relating to several offences including unlawful possession of firearms, possession of stolen firearms, possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of a prohibited firearm with access to ammunition and possession of stolen property.

Some of the items seized by police during the search include:

One loaded 12 gauge shotgun (confirmed stolen)

Six rifles (so far two have been confirmed stolen)

One 9 mm Berretta hand gun with ammunition and two prohibited magazines

Approximately 2000 rounds of ammunition

Approximately four ounces of Heroin

Approximately one ounce of Ketamine

A quantity of cocaine

$700 cash

Stolen Identification and social Insurance cards

The investigation is ongoing. Investigators will be recommending numerous charges relating to firearms, stolen property and drug offences against the 21 year old known gang member.
