A Calgary man was sentenced to a two-year conditional sentence for his role in operating a marijuana grow operation outside Prince George.
Christopher Jeremy Kunze, 35, received the term Wednesday in Prince George provincial court after pleading guilty to production of a controlled substance.
Kunze was among three Calgary men arrested after RCMP seized about 1,400 plants in December 2011 from an Upper Mud River property 25 kilometres west of Prince George.
Three large diesel generators, a large excavator, a skidsteer tractor and a heavy-duty pickup were also seized.
"The property was converted for the sole purpose of producing marijuana," police said at the time. "Part of the property included an underground bunker. Although not currently being used, investigators believe that the purpose of this bunker was to grow marijuana."
Charges against Christopher Gilbert Meeuws, 21, and Thomas Anthony Heilman, 34, remain before the court.
