Mayor Shari Green announced a mayor's select committee on business as her first action as the city's new mayor, Monday.
Green said the committee will be made up of herself and several members of the business community. Green said she has identified several people who have expressed interest in the committee, but wouldn't name those people until she has had a discussion with her council colleagues.
"It'll be a team of business folks from the community," Green said. "I anticipate we will be able to do this work fairly quickly."
The committee will identify measures to improve services to business and attract new investors to the community, she said.
More details are expected to be released today.
