Another concert with a Prince George stop has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The 'Rednek Music Fest' with Gord Bamford was set to take the Vanier Hall stage on Oct. 4, but will no longer happen.

Bamford announced on social media it's the best decision going forward for the health and safety of everyone involved.

“We are disappointed to announce the official cancellation, however, given the current state of the world, we feel it is the best decision," his Facebook page reads.

"There's no doubt in my mind we will be coming back to all of these towns sometime real soon. The hard times will pass and we are all going to come back stronger and when we do, it's going to be a party.”

The country music star was set to perform alongside Jess Moskaluke and special guests Jojo Mason, Eric Ethridge, Andrew Hyatt, Cory Marks, Duane Steele and Ghost Boy.
